Looking for Tandoori Indo Chinese Chef


We are looking for a Head Chef to run our kitchen at the Himalaya Tandoori Restaurant. We serve authentic Indian/ Nepalese Cuisine/ English roast The right candidate needs to have a decent level of experience in this industry.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a small team.
  • Develop and plan menus and daily specials.
  • Create prep lists for kitchen crew.
  • Manage food costing and inventory.
  • Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable health codes and regulations.
  • Establish maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.

Qualifications / Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of culinary techniques and practices.
  • Understanding of menu and recipe development techniques
  • Ongoing awareness of culinary trends
  • Understanding of health and sanitation laws
  • Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in high-volume kitchens
  • Previous kitchen management experience
  • Expected start date: ASAP
  • Job Types: Full-time
  • Permanent Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per year
